What matters in a Master Duel account
Master Duel is unusual among the games here: the account's value lives almost entirely in the decks it can already build. Cards are not scarce — crafting points are.
- Gems
- The premium currency. 1,000 gems buys a 10-pack of Master Packs. Gems are also the only way to buy Structure and Selection packs.
- Craft Points (CP)
- UR and SR cards can be crafted directly from CP, and dismantling spare cards produces it. A pile of UR CP is the most flexible thing on an account — it becomes any card you want.
- Built decks
- Because a legal deck needs 40 specific cards, an account with three finished meta decks is worth far more than the same card count scattered around.
- Solo Mode progress
- One-time gem income. Cleared gates cannot be re-farmed, so untouched Solo gates mean several thousand free gems for you.

How Master Duel accounts are priced
- Finished decks, named. Ask which archetypes are actually playable, not how many cards exist. Thirty half-built decks is worth less than two complete ones.
- UR Craft Points. UR CP is the real bottleneck — a full deck can need 15 or more URs. Treat 300 UR CP as roughly one deck's worth.
- Untouched Solo Mode. Several thousand gems of one-time income, still farmable by you.
- Banlist exposure. A deck built around a card that just got limited is worth less than the same list last month. Check the current banlist before you value anything.
Linking the account so you keep it
Master Duel is one worldwide service with cross-play across mobile, Steam, PlayStation and Switch — but only if the account is linked to a Konami ID. An unlinked account is tied to the one device it was created on.
- Log in on your device and verify the collection and gem count.
- In-game: Settings → Data Transfer, and link your own Konami ID.
- Unlink the seller's Konami ID. Without this step the seller can sign in from their own platform at any time.
- Once linked, you can carry the account to any other supported platform.
This is the single most important step with Master Duel. An account that is still on the seller's Konami ID is not yours, no matter what the password says.
The honest risks
- Unlinked accounts are device-bound and cannot be recovered if the device is lost — which is also why sellers sometimes cannot hand over a genuinely unlinked account safely.
- Ranking and event rewards reset, so a high rank is a snapshot, not an asset.
- Account trading breaches the terms of service; Konami has issued bans. The rebinding above is the mitigation, not a guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Master Duel account move between phone and PC?
Yes — but only if it is linked to a Konami ID. Cross-play across mobile, Steam, PlayStation and Switch all goes through that link. Without it the account stays on the device that created it.
What is UR CP and why does it matter?
Craft Points are how you make specific cards. A competitive deck often needs fifteen or more UR cards, so a large UR CP balance is effectively one deck of your choice — it is the most flexible asset on any Master Duel account.
Are gems worth more than built decks?
Usually no. Gems buy packs, which are random. A finished deck is deterministic value. Gems matter mainly when a new set is about to release.
Do I lose progress when I rebind?
No. Rebinding transfers the whole account — collection, decks, gems and Solo Mode progress all move with it.
